I know one day ill bow my head,
Remembering still the passages I’ve read,
Within the scriptures, pure and clear,
The wise, kind voice of God so dear
I’ll gather round my children sweet,
Testifying of the Lord as we meet.
I’ll thank the Heavens for this light divine,
That on my family he allowed to shine
But through it all I’ll treasure his grace,
His saving love and beloved face,
The One, one day we’ll rejoice to see,
As his arms encircle around them and me.
We’ll thank our brother with tears of pride,
To honour him- because for us he died.
We’ll wonder at his hands and feet,
Marked with suffering, but with no defeat.
Then all this life will shed away,
As we face our judgment day.
Each step we take till there we stand,
We take towards our father’s land.
His voice and touch we will obey,
Because joy and peace define His way.
My family will be gathered in,
And then our eternities will begin.
